meeting for europe

At the end of last week, Project Lead The Way (PLTW) Biomedical students were sent invitations to RSVP to a meeting.  Last night, at that meeting, students and parents had an opportunity to hear about a trip to Europe in the Spring of 2019. The students will learn and see genetic science through museums and other hands on activities as well as enrich their lives through travel. Biology teachers Maria Lesch and Erin White began planning last spring along with Leo high school teacher Ben Shappell who had already been working with a teacher in Richmond and EF tours putting this trip together. Students will have an opportunity to earn up to 3 college credits through this overseas travel program. This meeting was the first step in what will be a 20 month planning process . Students will be actively fundraising and working on their own to save money for the opportunity to study abroad.  As this journey continues we look forward to updating you. Link to Trip Information
